Despite just celebrating their second marriage anniversary, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. For those that remember, though they’ve been together for about a decade and have six children together, they only got married two years ago. As one of the most powerful Hollywood couples they had considerable influence and envy from almost everyone. But, the cracks in their relationship has been constant fodder for tabloids and news outlets for years.

Of course, the saddest part might be that their children who range from 8 years old to 15 years old will have to grow up without both parents. Angelina Jolie filed for full physical custody of all six children but did not want any spousal support. Angelina has refused to give any comments and her lawyer asks that everyone respects her wishes as well as the privacy of their family. Brad Pitt told People magazine, “I am very saddened by this but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”

The news of their divorce has been such a hot topic that the hashtag #brangelina has been mentioned approximately 720 times per minute. That’s over three times as much as any news related to the U.N. We will always remember the couple with the amazing chemistry from their first collaborative film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” where they played a pair of assassins that married each other as cover without knowing the other was an assassin. Critics all raved that their on screen chemistry was palpable. Their latest collaboration was in “By the Sea,” which was written and directed by Angelina Jolie. They played a married couple that was drifting apart. Many critics speculate that the movie came from a very real place.

We say bon voyage to Brangelina, but we’re sure that we haven’t heard the last of them. The good news is, they’re both finally back on the market.
