In an interesting twist, Barack Obama’s half brother Malik Obama has openly said he will support and vote for Donald Trump. The man who shares a father with our current president says that he is extremely disappointed with the democratic party and how they led this country for the past 8 years. He didn’t specifically state that it was his brother that he was disappointed in but there were many not-so-subtle hints dropped. He told media outlets that he was frustrated in the administration’s support of same sex marriage as well as how they handled the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

He has said that Gaddafi was “one of his best friends” and was extremely disappointed in America’s role of the uprising that led to his death.“I still feel that getting rid of Gaddafi didn’t make things any better in Libya,” he said. He has also publicly blasted Hillary Clinton, whom Barack Obama now supports, saying “She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” referring to the hack that led to many of her emails being leaked online. On the other end of the political spectrum, he has said “I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart.” He has made plans to return to Maryland in November just to vote for Trump in the presidential election. He currently resides in Kenya but is still registered to vote in Maryland where he used to be an accountant.
