Transgender rights have become a hot topic in recent years. With the LGBT movement gaining ground in almost every demographic traditional views can often be seen as outdated. Just last week, Ted Cruz talked about his stance on whether transgender people should be able to choose which bathroom they want. “This is not a matter of right or left, or Democrat or Republican. This is common sense. It doesn’t make sense for grown adult men, strangers, to be alone in a restroom with a little girl,” said Cruz on an interview with CNN.

Caitlyn Jenner, who has become one of the most prominent figures for transgender rights mocked him for his stance. Cruz in response said, “This is the height of political correctness,” Cruz added. “And frankly, the concern is not of the Caitlyn Jenners of the world, but if the law is such that any man, if he feels like it, can go in a woman’s restroom and you can’t ask him to leave, that opens the door for predators.”

Last Thursday, Caitlyn Jenner decided to take Donald Trump’s offer to stop by the Trump International Hotel in New York. Caitlyn used the women’s restroom. In a Facebook video after her visit she said, By the way, Ted, nobody got molested.”
